Horse expert B.J. Rickard's The World of Horses radio show airs live on the internet on Sunday evenings, 8-10 PM Central. After the live broadcast, each weekly show is available on demand from The World of Horses web site and from its partner, I.M. Cowgirl's web site.

The World of Horses, with a 9-year broadcast history, covers a variety of aspects of horse ownership and care, and includes live segments with other horse professionals and listeners' calls and emails.

The show includes a regular cowboy poetry segment, featuring live interviews and poetry by poets from CowboyPoetry.com. The long-running radio show, which made its internet debut on July 13, 2008, has featured  Jay Snider, Carole Jarvis, Susan Parker, Ken Cook, Jerry Brooks, Smoke Wade, Linda Kirkpatrick, Doris Daley, Joel Nelson, Diane Tribitt, Yvonne Hollenbeck, DW Groethe, Andy Nelson, Rodney Nelson, and Dennis Gaines.

Learn more and listen to the live or archived broadcasts on The World of Horses web site.

From The World of Horses web site:

BJ Rickard, besides hosting The World of Horses, has written several books. BJ has been published in magazines and newspapers across the U.S. He currently has two syndicated monthly columns, one in I.M. Cowgirl Magazine called "Stall 13" and one with the Southwest Horsetrader.

Along with his writing and broadcast duties, BJ spends seven days a week completely immersed in the horse business. This total commitment to horses has given him a vast and unique insight and education into the horse's world, which he passes on to other horse owners. Not only does he educate horse owners through his radio show and writings, BJ also routinely provides the public with information at horse clinics, which have become very popular. BJ unfortunately is extremely tough to contact.

BJ practices what he preaches, he travels over 100 miles every day going from barn to barn and pasture to pasture working with horses, horse owners and veterinarians. He works long hours, but loves what he does and wouldn't trade his life style for any other way. BJ can be reached by phone or email, but most of the time you will need to leave a message and he will return your call.

Over the years BJ's dedication to horses and what is best for the horse has developed his reputation into being one of the leaders in mental disorders of horses caused by physical or mental abuse. An addition to this part of his work, he helps victims of horse related accidents to overcome their fear as part of their recovery.
